Preface

In order to cure my carpal tunnel syndrome, I go to Jishuitan Hospital to do a MRI/NMR scan.

I live far off the city center. Go there by subway costs around 2 hours - unacceptable. (I used public transport in the past and it was painful…)

So I use Didi Hitch recently. It costs around 50 cny halfway (then I use subway) or around 80 cny full way. BTW the time is around 1 hour.

The driver is good at bargaing - the shown price is 67CNY but he successfully get me at 80CNY at the advantange of immediatelly available. (well I already waited long at hospital, and the time is night and I get there prepared at 5:30 so I only eat a light afternoon meal so I was tired)

the mediacal situation of China

Also the medical resource at China is very limited. I wait 1 hour at the hospital just for a NMR check.

At Beijing xiehe hospital, I wait 1 week just for a hospital registration. ridiculus. People can visit hospital at any time in Germany!

After I arrived, another people cut in line…

worrying about security

I have a MP3 recording device, so I’m gonna use it. But I turned it on and find it already full. 64GB cannot even last a month! (just 20 days)

So I’m gonna archive the contents and empty the space.

A simple file copy

I copy file to device. But the file is large (.wav format) so I want to compress it (7z is good, at 16% ratio) and upload it to Google drive automatically.

I remebered previous work experience, and want to fully automate it. but what’s the first step? right, that’s it - reimplement the file copy dialog.

Long story short - I searched online and find that I can use an API to call it programatically: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/win32/api/shellapi/nf-shellapi-shfileoperationa?redirectedfrom=MSDN. But I’m kind lost on it so I want to see a few demos. I searched it on GitHhub - guess what? I find a lot of good tools!

the python binding of it called shell.SHFileOperation. the search on GitHub: https://github.com/search?q=shell.SHFileOperation&type=code

I find the following result:

  • BleachBit.
    • it contains many more windows shell helper functions.
  • winshell
    • dedicated to api bindings.

I used the binding but find it differs from Windows - it lacks the dark theme.

dark theme

A search at Google brings me to Windows docs: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/apps/desktop/modernize/ui/apply-windows-themes (again, windows is great). I also searched the darktheme API:

https://github.com/search?q=DwmSetWindowAttribute%28hWnd%2C+DWMWA_USE_IMMERSIVE_DARK_MODE&ref=opensearch&type=code

Being a programmer

Being a programmer, or more generally, working in the tech area, is the same as everyone else.

Don’t be fanciated about other’s wellbeing - they have the same social problem, and regardless of the salary. because money cann’t solve everything.

And that’s why the military and confidential instustry is not sustainable - by constraining information and providing money, they created a virtual world that only eat up people (and they are good at it - the top is from Germany, they choose good location (Beijing and DaLian, that are good for forming spirits)), and cannot change the world.

Well the military and confidential instustry is just another foreign company. They have their own language, software, and law, and fixed people with social levels. And they are good at advertisement.

Dalian

From AI: img

Dalian is a city whose number of people studying Japanese is the highest among the cities in China; and it has also enjoyed close ties with Japan since the beginning of the modern times.

I remebered dalian from this event.
