Just watched this analysis of Chinese economy.
It was very shocking to know how the GDP was produced.
political atmosphere
In a long time, I only see the middle class rushing their cars, busy making money. I don’t see them talking about politics. That’s because the money has make them shut their month. China is using economy growth to supress political opposition.
(I have a memory on a rainy day, that me and my sister is riding bicycles. We hide in the highschool. A man is riding his car to send us home. I don’t where he comes from, but likely he is related to the school. He is a good man, and the old school master is good. But things have changed now; the master has retired, and the school was rebuilt.)
national identity
The world has changed. Chinese society is not good anymore; there has long been crisis happening, in Hong Kong and Tibet.
However, as long as you earn good money and live well, China is still your “mother” country; you can tolerate these ugly sides.
But my world view changed after the stay at a military company.
Actually, they don’t view you as partner. The “people” is something that need to be controlled and feeded with thoughts that are conveient to them. What operates China is actually a foreign country. (It’s just like the Manchu that led Qing)
In face of these facts, you need a different world view and the view about money.
the way to go?
In fact, I can live anywhere, as long as I can survive. That’s why I’ve been learning German and Japanese. It gives you an emotional home.
The truth about government is that when you don’t have money you just borrow it. I can learn from them to get by, but too much debt would be a burden.
On recently communications with my mother, she is prond with the incoming pension, and tell me to tolerate the hardships. Her world view has already been different from mine. I choose to be myself. But the former home would not be like before, which gives me a sad feeling. Because although a few, there are still good childhood memories.
However, what helps me is always them: Google, YouTube, DW, and NHK. Although Beijing is bad enough, there exists a good doctor, who helps me discover, and recover from a long time pain.
Going out to find a job is always an option, but it doesn’t suits me. The air is bad to my lung, and I’m more productive when time is under my control.
As I nearly finished CS107, I can see the whole picture of computer science, and this field may not be my best interest.
What I’m happy about is actually help people. But this should be kept as an eternal secret. That why I need to keep away with Xiaomi.
To do this I would need a job with foreign company. This can have a basic guarantee of salary and care. And to sell their product I also need to learn advertizement.
Well I can only think this far. Things are subjected to change. Let’s see how things will go.
